Cookie Policy

What cookies this website uses, why, and how to change your choices at any time.

Effective Date: October 2026

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others help the site owner understand how the site is used or measure advertising. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies, such as tracking pixels, used on stonecrestinsurance.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

How We Ask Permission

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. Until you choose, only necessary cookies are used — no analytics or marketing tools load.

  • Necessary — required for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These can't be turned off.
  • Analytics (optional) — Google Analytics, which tells us which pages are visited and how the site is used.
  • Marketing (optional) — Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which measure the results of our online advertising.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing, and marketing cookies stay off even if you click "Accept all."

Cookies We Use

The cookies below are set only in the categories you allow. Durations are the maximum; you can delete cookies sooner in your browser.

Google and Meta may also use cookies on their own websites (for example, google.com and facebook.com) under their own policies: Google Privacy Policy, Meta Privacy Policy.

Quote Requests

When you submit a quote request, we use your information to respond to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. In addition, only if you have accepted the matching cookie category:

  • Analytics: we record in Google Analytics that a quote request was made, with the type of coverage requested — not your name or contact details.
  • Marketing: we tell Meta that a quote request was made so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. This includes your email, phone number, name, and ZIP code in hashed (scrambled) form, which Meta uses to match the request to an ad. Under California law this may be considered "sharing" personal information for advertising.

If you have not accepted these categories, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, none of this is sent.

Google Maps

Our office maps are provided by Google Maps, which can set its own cookies. Maps don't load automatically: they load when you click "Show map," or automatically if you've accepted marketing cookies.

Changing Your Choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything collected before you did.

The "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of every page opens the same panel. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you delete the sc_consent cookie, we'll ask again on your next visit.
